Tuesday evening the Borough Transportation Advisory Board met at the Salcha Senior Center to discuss where the bus stops will be in Salcha for the express route that should start service as soon as the middle of February. Two runs in the morning and two runs at night. Leaving the transit station in Fairbanks it's first stop is North Pole mall, next Eielson Gate. The Base has agreed to start an on-base shuttle with the transfer point being outside of the gate at the Visitors Center. The next stop will be the Knotty Shop (Great Ice Cream) and then the Salcha Store. In public comment it was mentioned that the route seemed to cater to the north end of Salcha. That actually the river is about the half way point. More discussion to come. Thank You for helping SNO attain some of their goals. MAP
